Milwaukee won its first World Series in 57 years, beating Tampa Bay 4-1, and the parade starts today, Friday October 30, at 10 a.m. CT from 4th and Wisconsin, ending at Henry Maier Festival Park for a rally. Grounds admission is free until capacity, but the amphitheater rally is ticketed, and schools are closed for the day. I am a few hours away and tempted. Is the in-person trip worth the crowds and parking, or is MLB Network from the couch the smarter play?

    Stream it free from home

Parade viewing is free, but parking, crowds and a sold-out amphitheater rally make the trip expensive in time. MLB Network is carrying it, and Fubo has a five-day free trial, so you can watch the whole route and the rally speeches from the couch. Save the trip for a regular-season game when tickets are cheap and the lines are short.

Go in person, grounds are free

This is a once-in-57-years parade, not a regular game. Grounds admission at Henry Maier Festival Park is free until capacity, and the route down Wisconsin Avenue is free to watch from the sidewalk. Get there early, park far from the route and walk in. You can watch any parade on TV; you only get one first championship parade.
