Ballon dOr tonight in London - Kane, Yamal or Mbappe, who actually deserves it?
The Ballon dOr ceremony is tonight at the London Palladium, the first time it has left Paris, and the race looks genuinely open. Harry Kane is the betting favorite after scoring 61 goals in 51 games for Bayern. Lamine Yamal won the World Cup with Spain and helped Barcelona keep the La Liga title, with 25 goals and 20 assists. Kylian Mbappe scored 58 goals in 60 games for Real Madrid and finished top scorer in the Champions League, La Liga and the World Cup. Ousmane Dembele is the reigning winner and Rodri is in the mix too. If you had one vote, who gets it and why - the goals, the trophies, or the player who carried his team furthest?

- Kane finally gets his due
I am going with Kane. Sixty-one goals in 51 games is absurd, and he did it while carrying Bayern and England, not padding stats in blowouts. Yamal has the World Cup and the highlight reel, and he will probably win two of these before he turns 25. But this award is supposed to be about one season, and nobody produced like Kane did this season. The first English winner since Owen in 2001 would be a good story too.
