Golden State lost 111-108 at home to the Grizzlies last night. Memphis closed on a 17-2 run in the final 3 minutes 35 seconds, rookie Cam Boozer scored 25 including the go-ahead shot with 19.7 seconds left, and a waved-off Curry tying three plus a Draymond illegal screen ended it. Curry finished 24 points on 5-of-15 shooting, Steve Kerr went off about illegal screens and flopping after the game, and the Warriors are 0-2 for the first time since 2020-21. They play at Phoenix tonight on a back-to-back. Is this a real early-season problem, offense stalling whenever Curry sits and the screen game getting whistled, or just two games that will look silly by December?

Two games is nothing, even ugly ones. Curry is still Curry, the new pieces are still learning the system, and the Phoenix game tonight on a back-to-back will say more than a home opener collapse. If they are still giving away fourth quarters in mid-November, then worry. Right now this is just a rough week, not a broken team.
