F1 is bringing an African Grand Prix to Rwanda in the early 2030s — first race in Africa since 1993 — worth getting into F1 for?

Saw the news this morning — F1 signed a 10-year deal to race in Rwanda in the early 2030s, the first African Grand Prix since 1993. I have never really followed F1 but this sounds historic and honestly kind of awesome. Longtime fans: is this the kind of thing worth planning a trip around way ahead, or is a new circuit this far out mostly hype? And where would a total beginner even start watching?

    Do the ticket math first

Run the ticket math first. A brand-new flyaway GP in year one will be expensive and chaotic — this is the only African round, so demand will pile in. F1 TV for a season at home is cheap; watch one full season and only plan travel once you know you are actually hooked. The historic angle is real though — first African race since Kyalami 1993 is genuinely special.
