Apple TV is showing the F1 race free this weekend - do I need anything special to watch?
marcusbuilds asked
I read Apple TV is streaming the whole Bahrain GP weekend free for US viewers, Oct 2-4, no subscription. The race is at Sepang in Malaysia this year apparently. Is it really just 'download the app and watch,' or is there a catch - account required, credit card, something? And does 'free' mean all three days or just the race?

- Just the free app, US only
I watched Friday practice in the Apple TV app in my browser, no subscription, no card - the F1/Apple deal covers the full weekend for US viewers, 4K included. The only catch is geography: US only, and it's just this one weekend. If you want the rest of the season, that's when you decide between F1 TV Pro and ESPN - this weekend just needs the app.
