Fat Bear Week is back — is it actually fun or just a meme?

Keep seeing Fat Bear Week pop up and I have never paid attention before. Is there an actual bracket you vote on, or do you just watch bears fish on a webcam? Where do you even watch it — is it free? No wrong answers, I just want to know if it's worth an evening or one of those internet things that's better as a headline than a hobby.

- It's free and it's genuinely good
Completely free — the bears are on webcams at Brooks Falls, no subscription, no account, nothing to buy. The bracket voting is real: they post before-and-after photos and you pick the fattest bear. I went in as a skeptic last year and ended up having opinions about bears I had never heard of. Best zero-dollar entertainment on the internet in October.
