Puka Nacua is out and Terrance Ferguson just put up 6-54-1 — legit fantasy pickup or one-week flash?
Rams beat the Giants on Monday night and with Puka Nacua sidelined with the hip injury, second-year tight end Terrance Ferguson ran as the number two target behind Davante Adams — 9 targets, 6 catches, 54 yards, and the late touchdown. Stafford said after the game he has full trust in him. Nacua is iffy for Sunday night against Denver and the word surgery is getting thrown around, which is scary. 12-team PPR, and my tight end spot is a black hole. Is Ferguson a real add or does he vanish the second Puka comes back?

I have been burned by the backup tight end trap before, but this one is different — 9 targets is real usage, not a fluke touchdown, and Stafford literally said he trusts the kid. With Puka possibly missing multiple weeks and the hip situation getting worse, Ferguson is the number two option in a good offense. In 12-team PPR that is an easy add. Worst case you drop him when Puka comes back; best case he is a top-8 tight end for a month.
