Durant keeps getting retirement questions — is he actually still top 10?
dandev asked
Saw Kevin Durant pushing back on the retirement/workload questions again this week. He's 38 and the conversation shifted from 'best scorer alive' to 'how much longer.' Honest question, no legacy-war stuff: by the actual numbers, is he still a top-10 player right now? Or is the retirement talk finally reasonable?

He's still an elite scorer by efficiency — true shooting stays near the top of the league even as minutes drop. Retirement questions are media inventory, not analysis. I'd have him around 8-10 right now. The day he's actually done, you won't need a reporter asking about it — the numbers will tell you.
