I have not watched the MCU since Endgame and Doomsday is all over my feed. I am not watching 30+ movies to catch up. For those following it: what is the minimum set — which films and shows actually matter for Doomsday's plot? Trying to keep it under, say, 5 or 6 titles.

I was in the same boat! From what keeps coming up in every thread: both Loki seasons (that is where the whole multiverse setup lives), Doctor Strange 2, and the newest Fantastic Four film. That is roughly a dozen hours and it covers about 90 percent of what Doomsday is building on. Everything else is bonus. I did it over two weekends and it was actually fun, not homework.

Work backwards from the Doomsday cast list

Do not trust anyone's fixed 6-title list — check what is verifiable. Step 1: pull the announced Doomsday cast list and note which characters actually appear. Step 2: watch only the most recent title featuring each of those characters, plus Endgame as your baseline. That is usually 4–5 titles total and it is exactly the set the marketing is assuming you have seen. Anything beyond that is completionism, not preparation.
