Spider-Man: Brand New Day — theater-worthy or stream-it-later?
Box office chatter says Brand New Day is tracking huge this weekend, and reactions seem split between 'best Spider-Man since the Raimi ones' and 'fine franchise product.' Theater tickets near me are running $18–22 before popcorn. For people who've seen it: does the scale of this one justify a theater trip, or is it a perfectly good couch movie? No spoilers please — just the viewing-format verdict.

- Matinee only
Saw it Friday at a $12 matinee and that's exactly what it's worth — good spectacle, forgettable villain, and nothing about the scale demands a big screen the way something like Dune did. At $20+ a ticket plus snacks you're looking at a $35 night for a movie that'll be streaming in three months anyway. Save theater money for something you can't replicate at home.
