DWTS season 35 premiered this week — is the cast actually worth 4 hours of TV?

The two-night premiere was Sept 15-16 and everyone at work is talking about it. I haven't watched since like 2015. Is this season's cast actually good, or is it the usual mix of one ringer and 15 people who can't dance? I don't want to burn 4 hours on premiere episodes just to find out the Mirrorball is already decided. Who's genuinely worth watching?

Watch night two, skip night one

I caught both premiere nights and honestly night two had the better dances — night one is half intro packages. The thing to check is the week-one leaderboard on the DWTS site or ABC's YouTube channel — the scores tell you who's a ringer (Jenna Dewan and Harry Shum Jr. both have real dance training, no surprise there) and who's the fun underdog story. If you're short on time: watch the top-3 scored dances on YouTube and skip the two hours of filler. That's what I do every season.
