Amazon is one of the biggest breakout movers in todays search data, with daily demand up sharply, and I keep seeing people call it a momentum play. I do not own it yet. The company has a lot going on at once: cloud growth, ads, delivery costs, and whatever the holiday quarter looks like. For people who actually follow the stock: is todays move backed by something concrete in the numbers, or is this just the kind of attention spike that fades in a week?

Wait for the next earnings print

Do not chase a search spike. Amazon moves on AWS growth and holiday guidance, not on how many people googled the ticker today. Pull up the last two earnings reports and check whether cloud growth is speeding up or slowing down. If the next print does not beat on that number, todays breakout usually gives half of it back. That is a checkable test, not a vibe.
