Every dip brings the same two camps: buy now because the long term trend is up, or wait because the slide usually has a second leg. I have cash set aside and no position yet. What level or signal would actually make you buy - a price, a weekly close, or something else?

Wait for the weekly close. Daily bounces in a slide trap people every time. I only buy when the week closes above the level that broke, not on a green afternoon. It costs a few percent sometimes, but it has saved me from catching three falling knives this year.
