GTA 6 is the #1 search in the country and my 1080p TV is ancient — what is the cheapest 4K setup that will not embarrass the game?
Not a gear guy. 55 inch 1080p TV, works fine, never cared. But GTA 6 is everywhere and I refuse to watch the biggest game in a decade look like mush on my screen. What is the actual minimum worth buying — size, refresh rate, whatever actually matters for a console game? And what is the floor price where you stop getting ripped off?

- 55-inch 4K, HDMI 2.1, ~$550 — that is the floor
For a console game the specs that matter: native 4K panel, HDMI 2.1 for 4K/120 output, and input lag under 15ms in game mode. At 55 inches the TCL QM7 and Hisense U7N sit around $500-600 and check all three — verified in RTINGS input-lag tables, not marketing. Below that price you lose 120Hz and real local dimming, which is exactly the mush you are trying to escape. Do not pay extra for 8K or 144Hz on a TV; the console will not drive either in GTA 6.
