Fall back is trending and I dread it every year. My mornings are already a struggle and suddenly it is dark at 5pm again. I want real tricks from people who have this figured out, not generic sleep hygiene lists. What actually moved the needle for you — the bedtime shift, light therapy, blackout curtains, something else?

    Move dinner, not just bedtime

I work night-market craft fairs until 2am so I have opinions about this. The trick that finally worked: shift dinner 15 minutes earlier each night the week before, not just bedtime. Your body clock follows food and light more than alarms. Then bright light within 30 minutes of waking — a cheap dawn lamp beats blackout curtains for dark mornings.
