Hue Bridge Pro starter kit is $200 right now ($90 off) — worth upgrading from the old Bridge, or just buy the bulbs?

I have had a Hue Bridge V2 running for years and it does its job. The Bridge Pro starter kit is on sale for $200, down from $290, and that is $25 below the previous best price. The pitch is faster response, better security, handles more devices. Question for anyone who actually upgraded: does the Pro change anything you notice day to day, or is it only worth it if you are running 40+ lights? I only have about 15, so I am wondering if I should just buy the discounted bulbs and skip the box.

The V2 caps out around 50 lights and 12 accessories before scenes get laggy; the Pro raises that ceiling and adds a better security model (local processing, Wi-Fi radios). With 15 lights you will not feel any of that. Spend the $200 on three discounted bulbs instead. The Pro is a future-proofing purchase for 40-light homes, not a day-to-day upgrade.
