Minecraft Dungeons 2 is out — buy at launch or wait for the first price drop?

It is one of the breakout game searches this week and the first Dungeons was the co-op game my group actually finished. But launch-week dungeon crawlers almost always drop 30-40% within two or three months, and day-one balance patches are basically guaranteed. The original launched around $20 and the price settled fast. For those who played the first one: is there enough new here to justify launch price, or is waiting the obviously smarter play?

The first Dungeons was $20 at launch and I bought it at $12 three months later with all the DLC bundled. Dungeon crawlers are the most predictable discounters in gaming. The only reason to pay launch price is if your whole group is playing day one and you will genuinely miss the party. Otherwise set a price alert and buy it in January. The game will not be going anywhere.
