Walmart recalled that bettergoods lemon alfredo pasta — is the refund trip actually worth it?
Saw the news that the bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine (the frozen 22oz bags) got recalled for possible listeria. Two lots: L6079C and L6080C. I bought a couple of bags a while back and one might match. Problem: no receipt, and the store is 25 minutes away. For anyone who has done a Walmart food recall return: do they actually refund without a receipt, and is it worth the drive? Or do I just toss the bag and move on?

- Check the lot code first — it is only two lots
Before you drive anywhere: flip the bag over and check the lot code and expiration. Only L6079C (expires 09/19/2027) and L6080C (expires 09/20/2027), UPC 194346442706, are recalled. If yours does not match, there is nothing to return — keep it. If it does match, Walmart refunds recalled food without a receipt at customer service; that is their standard recall process, not a manager favor. One trip with the matching bag gets your money back.
