> Ramayana: Rise of a Legend is trending today and being described as the costliest Indian film ever made. I am not deeply into Indian cinema but the scale of this one has me curious, and IMAX tickets are not cheap. For people who have seen it or followed the reviews: is this the kind of spectacle that actually earns the big screen, or is it a wait-for-streaming situation where the story does not hold up to the budget? No spoilers if you can help it.

> See it in IMAX if the spectacle is the point

> The early reviews are pretty consistent on one point: the battle sequences and the scale are the whole draw, and the story itself follows the epic closely enough that you will not be lost if you know the broad strokes. If spectacle is what you are paying for, see it on the biggest screen you can find, because that is where the budget actually shows. If you mostly care about the story and character work, wait for streaming: the plot beats are familiar and the home viewing loses very little.
