> I skipped the launch rush for Modern Warfare 4 and now I am trying to decide. The campaign and DMZ are out, Season 1 starts November 6 with Warzone integration, and the game is not coming to Game Pass until Holiday 2027, so waiting for Game Pass is a long wait. For people playing it now: is the multiplayer already in a good state, or is Season 1 the real starting point? I mostly play with two friends a few nights a week and I do not want to buy in just as the meta resets.

Waiting for Season 1 sounds smart on paper, but the whole point for a small group is playing together, and three nights a week with friends beats a perfectly balanced patch you play alone. DMZ is already live, the campaign is done, and if Season 1 changes the meta you will learn it together. Just skip the Vault Edition extras unless you actually want the skins.
