> Apple reports earnings after the close today, and it is the first report since John Ternus took over as CEO. Analysts are looking for about $113.6 billion in revenue, and the stock has had a rough month along with the rest of tech. I hold a small position and I keep going back and forth: buy a little more before the report in case it pops, or wait for the call and see how the new CEO handles his first earnings. For people who follow Apple closely, what actually matters in this report — the headline number, services growth, or the guidance?

> Wait for the call, read the services margin

> Wait for the call. The headline revenue number will be everywhere within seconds, but what tells you how the new CEO is really doing is the services margin and whatever he says about next quarter. I would rather miss a small pop than buy into a report I have not actually read yet.
