> Shares fell about 13 percent on October 29, the worst day in the companys history, after Q3 results. Search revenue grew 12 percent to $63.4 billion, slower than the 17 percent in Q2, while Cloud jumped 103 percent to $30.7 billion. Free cash flow was negative $9.1 billion and capex guidance stayed at $195 to $205 billion for 2026, with more spending promised for 2027. I have no position and cash to deploy. What would actually make you buy - the price, a calmer capex guide, or Search growth re-accelerating?

> Wait for the next capex guide

> The drop is not about one quarter of Search slowing. Capex is $195 to $205 billion this year and management says 2027 spending rises further, while free cash flow is already negative $9.1 billion. Until a guide shows that spending flattening, every dip can get a second leg. Check the next quarterly capex guide before sizing anything big.

> Start a small position, Cloud is the story

> Search slowing to 12 percent is real, but Cloud more than doubling to $30.7 billion is the number that changes the company. A small starter position lets you participate if the AI spending pays off, while keeping most cash back for a lower price if capex guidance gets worse. Size it so a further 10 percent drop is annoying, not painful.
