> The film of the July 5, 2025 farewell show at Villa Park opens in cinemas worldwide on October 28 as a limited run. It's Ozzy's last performance — he died 17 days later at 76 — and the original Black Sabbath lineup back on stage together for the first time in more than 20 years. About two and a half hours, 30 songs, Dolby Atmos, with Metallica, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Pantera and Tool on the bill, Jason Momoa hosting and Tom Morello as musical director. I know it'll reach streaming eventually. For a concert film like this, is the theater actually worth it, or is it better at home where you control the volume and can rewind the Sabbath set?

> Theater, once, and that's it

> Go. One ticket, no merch, no premium seat nonsense. This was a one-night farewell show and the theater version is the only time you'll ever sit in a room full of people watching it together. Streaming will be fine for rewatching the Sabbath set later, but you'll watch it on your couch half-distracted by your phone. The ticket buys the communal version. That's the whole point of a farewell show.

> See it loud once, then stream the repeats

> This one is worth the theater trip just for the volume and the crowd. A farewell concert film with Metallica, Slayer and Pantera on the bill is not the same movie on a laptop, and the Dolby Atmos mix is the whole point. Go once, be loud with other fans, and then wait for streaming for the second watch when you want to actually hear the lyrics.

> Go for the sound, not just the screen

> This one is worth the theater trip for the audio alone. Thirty songs in Dolby Atmos, a farewell show with the original lineup together for the first time in over twenty years, and guests like Metallica and Pantera on the same bill. On a laptop you get the songs; in a theater you feel the drums. That is the difference the ticket buys.
