> It is one of the top searched things in the US today and I keep seeing clips, so now I am curious — but I do not follow rugby league at all. Is there a one-game pass or a cheap stream somewhere, or am I signing up for an $80-a-year thing for a single match? US-based, happy to watch on my phone. Not doing the sketchy pop-up sites, those always buffer at the worst moment.

> Check the official broadcaster list first

> For the Rugby League internationals, the league publishes an official broadcaster list per country — in the US it is usually the league’s own streaming pass or one of the big sports bundles, and kickoffs are UK-evening so it is afternoon US time, which helps. I would check that page before buying anything, because the rights move around year to year. And you are right to skip the pop-up sites: they die at halftime, every single time.
