> Doing the math on Apple's first foldable (unveiled at the September event alongside the iPhone 18 Pro; pre-orders opened Oct 16, shipping Oct 23). Base 256GB is Rs 2,99,900, 2TB tops out at Rs 4,49,900. Bank offers shave Rs 7,000 off, trade-in goes up to Rs 81,500, AppleCare+ is Rs 51,900 — and foldable screen repair reportedly runs as high as Rs 2,24,900, roughly the same as a Galaxy S26 Ultra display. Two colors: Night Sky and Star White. My question: is there any historical case where buying a first-gen Apple hinge product worked out, or does the repair-cost math alone say wait for gen 2?
