> October Prime Day deals: actual bargains or retail theater?

> Amazon's fall Prime event has AirPods at $199 (some early deals reportedly $99), Keurig near 50% off, plus heated blankets, walking pads, cordless vacuums. I have been burned by the 'was $400, now $200' pricing games before. For people who actually track prices: which October Prime Day deals are genuinely good, and what should I hold off on until Black Friday?

> I keep a price-history tab open for anything over $50 before I click buy. Amazon's 'was' price is their own list price, not what it actually sold for. Look up the item on camelcamelcamel or Keepa - if the AirPods were already sitting at $199 for most of the last 90 days, the 'deal' is nothing and Black Friday might still beat it. Real drops show up as a cliff in the chart, not a slow drift.
