> I have literally never watched a full WNBA game, but my whole feed is playoffs talk this week and the games sound electric. I do not have a team and I know maybe three player names total. For someone starting from zero: how does the playoff format work, where do I even watch the games, and is there a team or player that is fun for a new fan to follow? I just want to enjoy the next few weeks, not become a stats expert.

> Do not start by learning the bracket format. Pick a team, any team, that has a storyline you can root for — underdog, dynasty, rookie phenom — and just follow their games. The playoffs are short, the series are quick, and you will absorb the format by watching. Most playoff games end up on network TV anyway, so you do not need to buy anything. If you try to study first, you will never actually watch.
