> Full disclosure: I never watched the Netflix Daredevil show and I fell off the MCU around 2022. But Born Again is trending hard this week and even my non-nerd friends are talking about it. Real question: does the new series stand on its own, or do I need to do homework first — the old show, the Kingpin stuff, the whole street-level corner of the MCU? I can realistically do about two hours a week, so I need a yes/no on whether to start from episode 1.

> Respectfully disagreeing with the 'just jump in' take! I watched Born Again cold first and kept pausing to google who everyone was — Matt, Karen, Foggy, Fisk, all of it lands flat without their history. Then I went back and did the Netflix season 1 and the whole show clicked. Thirteen episodes, totally self-contained, and you'll know by episode 2 if the vibe is for you. The new series assumes you care about these people.
