> Loved Weapons and Barbarian so I'm tempted, but I've never played a single Resident Evil game and the trailer looked like full body horror. It's a fresh original story (Austin Abrams as a courier, not the Anderson movies' thing), 90 minutes, theaters/IMAX. Sounds newbie-friendly? Or is this a wait-for-streaming one? Horror folks, is the theater experience actually worth it here?

> Theater, but only if you've got people to go with. Cregger's whole thing is atmosphere, and it works way better on a big screen with an audience — the jump scares land and you can't pause to scroll your phone. Going solo though? Wait for streaming. Ticket plus popcorn is twenty bucks; one friend who'll jump out of their seat makes it worth it.
