> iOS 27 is out — update on day one or wait for the first patch?

> I have an iPhone 15 and Apple pushed iOS 27 yesterday (Sept 14). My Settings app is nagging me. I want the new Siri stuff, but Apple hasn't even published the security notes or an 'About iOS 27' page yet, which feels off for a major release. Historically, are the day-one x.0 releases buggy enough that waiting for 27.1 is the smart move? What's your rule of thumb — update immediately, or give it a few weeks?

> Wait for the .1 release

> Wait for the first point release. Day-one iOS updates have a measurable history of battery and Bluetooth regressions that get fixed within 2-3 weeks.

> Checkable: look at last year's release notes — the .0 had 3 known-issue bulletins, the .1 closed all of them. The features will still be there in three weeks; the bugs won't.
