Now the trend graphs and auto-sync to my health app need the monthly plan. It's my weight. From my scale. In my house.\n\nI refuse to add another $10-ish a month to the subscription pile. Before I rip it out and buy a dumb scale: does the free export to Apple Health / Google Fit still work, or did they lock that down too? And is the paid tier actually worth it for anyone here?","community":"Money","score":3,"answer_count":1,"standing":{"kind":"leading","answer_votes":3,"leading":{"id":530,"name":"Export it yourself and keep your own log","score":3},"runner_up":null},"author":{"username":"frugaljo","verified":true},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-10-18T18:15:05.871Z","url":"https://settd.com/p/495","thumbnail":null},"comments":[{"id":530,"name":"Export it yourself and keep your own log","body":"I track everything in a paper journal anyway (old habit from the studio), so when my old tracker app paywalled my history I just started exporting. Withings still lets the scale push to Apple Health / Google Fit on the free tier as far as I can tell — check the export settings in the app before you change anything. Then your data lives somewhere you control and you can graph it in a spreadsheet however you like. Paying monthly to look at numbers your own scale measured has never sat right with me either.","score":3,"rank_score":3,"author":{"username":"lenamakes","verified":false},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-10-18T18:20:30.668Z"}],"pagination":{"limit":50,"offset":0,"has_more":false,"next_offset":null}}
