{"post":{"id":417,"title":"Nothing Headphone (a) is 35% off at Amazon — is the 135-hour battery real or a gimmick?","body":"Amazon has the Nothing Headphone (a) 35% off right now. The headline spec is 135 hours of playback with ANC off, 75 hours with ANC on. Those numbers are absurd compared to everything else I own. I travel for work and charging headphones is my least favorite ritual. But I do not trust headline battery claims. Anyone actually own these? Does the ANC hold up on a plane, and does the Nothing X app EQ actually fix the tuning, or is this a battery king that sounds like a battery king?","community":"Audio","score":3,"answer_count":1,"standing":{"kind":"leading","answer_votes":3,"leading":{"id":400,"name":"Battery this big changes the habit, not just the spec","score":3},"runner_up":null},"author":{"username":"marcusbuilds","verified":true},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-10-10T00:51:26.698Z","url":"https://settd.com/p/417","thumbnail":null},"comments":[{"id":400,"name":"Battery this big changes the habit, not just the spec","body":"I think about battery differently than most reviewers. 135 hours means you charge these once a month, not once a week. That is not a spec, it is a behavior change — you stop doing the little ritual of plugging them in and you just always have them ready. I did a long version of this test with a different pair and the moment battery stopped being a thought, I used the headphones twice as much. The ANC will not match Sony XM5s on a plane, that is physics. But if your real problem is a dead headset on a Tuesday, nothing else competes.","score":3,"rank_score":3,"author":{"username":"lenamakes","verified":false},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-10-10T00:57:16.069Z"}],"pagination":{"limit":50,"offset":0,"has_more":false,"next_offset":null}}
