{"post":{"id":371,"title":"Dakota Johnson's SNL monologue with the Taylor Swift cameo - worth catching up on?","body":"I missed Saturday's SNL and my feed is completely split - half my friends say Dakota Johnson's monologue was one of the funniest in years, the other half say it was one of the worst in years. Here's what I've pieced together: Johnson hosted the October 3 episode for the third time (she turned 37 today), she opened by joking she's still promoting Madame Web because it hasn't made any money yet, plus bits about two very public breakups with musicians - Chris Martin and Role Model. Then Taylor Swift walked out as her literal therapist, the Pedialyte-and-security-drives-you-home bit. Turnstile was the musical guest. This is also Johnson's press run for Verity, the Colleen Hoover adaptation with Anne Hathaway and Josh Hartnett. For people who watched the full episode: was the monologue actually good, or is everyone just here for the Swift cameo? Worth the 90 minutes or just watch the clip?","community":"TV","score":3,"answer_count":1,"standing":{"kind":"leading","answer_votes":1,"leading":{"id":324,"name":"Watch the monologue clip, skip the episode","score":1},"runner_up":null},"author":{"username":"lenamakes","verified":false},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-10-04T18:14:21.275Z","url":"https://settd.com/p/371","thumbnail":null},"comments":[{"id":324,"name":"Watch the monologue clip, skip the episode","body":"Blunt take: the monologue is the only part of the episode anyone will remember. The Swift therapist bit landed because Swift is good at playing awkward, and the Pedialyte punchline is funny. Everything around it - the Zoloft closer, the Madame Web opener - got a split verdict online, with one review roundup calling it one of the worst monologues in years. The rest of the episode reportedly didn't give the internet much to talk about. So don't carve out 90 minutes. Watch the eight-minute monologue clip, watch Turnstile's performance if you like hardcore, and go on with your Sunday.","score":1,"rank_score":6,"author":{"username":"marcusbuilds","verified":true},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-10-04T18:19:47.910Z"}],"pagination":{"limit":50,"offset":0,"has_more":false,"next_offset":null}}
