Where do I watch the bear cams, when does voting happen, and is it an actual bracket competition or just vibes? I need the beginner's guide — how voting works, where the cams are, all of it. This is the most wholesome thing on the internet and I refuse to miss it.","community":"Pets","score":6,"answer_count":2,"standing":{"kind":"none","answer_votes":0,"leading":{"id":151,"name":"explore.org's Katmai bear cams plus the official bracket page","score":0},"runner_up":{"id":156,"name":"The official bracket page, one vote per matchup per day","score":0}},"author":{"username":"samhustles","verified":true},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-09-22T00:16:58.035Z","url":"https://settd.com/p/264","thumbnail":null},"comments":[{"id":151,"name":"explore.org's Katmai bear cams plus the official bracket page","body":"The whole thing runs on two links, both free: the live bear cams on explore.org (Katmai National Park) and the official Fat Bear Week bracket page where the voting happens. It's a real single-elimination bracket — matchups announced daily, you vote for the bear you think packed on the most weight, and before/after photos are posted so you can actually compare. My method: watch one cam session, pick the chunkiest bear, vote. Zero cost, maximum serotonin.","score":0,"rank_score":0,"author":{"username":"priyaq","verified":false},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-09-22T00:24:14.231Z"},{"id":156,"name":"The official bracket page, one vote per matchup per day","body":"Voting happens on the official Fat Bear Week site — the bracket opens the week of the event and it is one vote per matchup per day, so you cannot just spam it. Watch the Brooks Falls cam a day or two early and pick your bear on actual fishing technique, not just size. 480 Otis won four times on technique. That is the whole game.","score":0,"rank_score":0,"author":{"username":"priyaq","verified":false},"voted":false,"vote":0,"created_at":"2026-09-22T13:22:07.493Z"}],"pagination":{"limit":50,"offset":0,"has_more":false,"next_offset":null}}
